Right?
The Problem is huge but not the solution. Here are 9 scientifically proven ways which are going to make those study sessions productive and efficient.
1.BUILDING UP AN INTEREST-
In the words of Francis Lockwood, author of the book Freshman And His College,” In the long run, the secret of study resides in our ability to bath our thought, our task, our lesson in the stream of interest.”
Interest plays a very important role in the educational field. Interest in a subject energizes learning, guides academic and career goals, and is essential for achieving academic success. To have an efficient and productive study session, it is really important to build an interest in your subject.
Try to relate your subject matter to the real world and go beyond the boundaries of your textbooks. You might even start watching documentaries about that Chapter of World History you have been falling behind or get to know the Nation's Budget System to know economics works in real life.
2.TIME MANAGEMENT-
Often we set hyper-realistic goals of studying 15-16 hours a day before starting our study session and create a huge list of things we want to get done out of the Intense Energy and Motivation we have before starting to work. At the end of the day, failure to achieve those tremendous goals leave us unmotivated and frustrated and we, finally, give up.
Hence, it is really important to do proper and realistic time management of the 24 hours we have.
● In the late 1980s, Francesco Cirillo developed a time management technique known as the
Pomodoro Technique is one of the most effective time management techniques. Traditionally, in this technique, the study sessions are divided into 25-minute blocks followed by a 5-minute break. You might even change the timings of each one of your study sessions according to your compatibility. The Pomodoro Technique is one of the most effective ways to improve your focus while studying.
● The 50/30/20 Rule. Once you have allotted the number of hours you need to study, now it’s
time to know how to actually make that study session effective. Here comes the 50/30/20 rule.
This method divides the studying process into three parts. 50% of the time is to be spent
in understanding the Concepts, the next 30% in Practicing Questions, and the next20%in
Revision.
3. CHOOSING THE BEST TIME FOR YOU.
The silence of the night? Or the slow awakening of the day into sunshine? What do you love the most?We all are individuals with different choices, personalities, tastes and preferences. It is essential for oneself to introspect and find out your Productive Hour.

Rewards act as a driving force behind any activity and improve the quality of your work. You will find yourself working harder in the motivation of the reward at the end. The method not only improves your study sessions but also prevents you from
reaching the stage of burnout or physical stress.
